I am a professional Fly-tyer with over 25 years experience, my vast angling knowledge stems from the rivers, Burns and Lochs where I fished for wild brown trout, sea trout and salmon in my native Scotland. Now based in Peterborough, I have switched my attentions to the big midlands reservoirs and the smaller fisheries of East Anglia. My fly tying has also developed to accommodate the lures used by many anglers on the still waters. Renowned as one of the best dry fly-tyers in the country I feature regularly in Trout Fisherman magazine where I explained in a monthly column how to `start tying flies', as well as reporting on fisheries and reviewing tackle. I also travel around the country demonstrating my fly tying art to Angling and Fly Tying Clubs in an informative and imaginative evening including a step-by-step slide show.
