HOOK: Kamasan B175 size 12
THREAD: Black
BODY: Black Floss
RIB: Silver Wire
HACKLE: Black Cock or Hen Cape
WING: Starling Wing
1.Catch on your tying silk and take it down to the bend of the hook.

4.Next catch in a length of Black Floss and then take the thread back up to the eye. Follow this with the Black Floss in clockwise, touching turns to create a slim, even profile. Tie the floss down and trim the surplus.
5.Follow the floss down with the Silver Wire so that there are about six turns. Tie off and trim.
6.Catch a hackle in by the stalk and make about 2.5 full turns around the same bed of the hook. Tie off and trim surplus.
7.Now to winging. Take your opposite wings and split a matching pair with a dubbing needle.
8.Pair the two matching feather strips so the tips are together (dullest sides touching). Trim the surplus feather.
